UK Creativity Researchers’ Annual Conference, 2024: university of buckingham, 26th June 2024.
This year we will be hosting UK Creativity Researchers’ Annual Conference 2023 on the theme of Contemporary Ideas in the Psychology of Creativity . The event will be held at the University of Buckingham and the fee will be £60 (with some limited places at reduced rates, details below) and open to anyone with an interest in creativity research. Please see below for further details.
“Newnotes” as keynotes
This year, we are looking for a panel of early career researchers (ECRs) and postgraduate students to open our conference. Here we aim to reflect our roots as three early career researchers who founded the conference and network in 2017 and echo our continued approach in our previous conferences to create an inclusive and level space for promoting good research and networking.
So we reach out to anyone relatively new to our network or who identifies an earlier career researcher or postgraduate student. In particular we would like to call on supervisors and research leads to nominate ECRs and postgraduate students working in the contemporary area of creativity, for example – new methodologies, the role of artificial intelligence, sustainability, etc.
If you would like to present at our 2024 conference as one of our opening “newnotes” or if you’d like to nominate someone else (with their consent!) – please do send us a brief email with the name and brief outline of the area of research by the end of April (30th) to: UKCreativityResearchers@gmail.com
Abstract Submissions
As well as our opening panel of “newnotes”, we also welcome abstract submissions from all researchers and practitioners in the field of creativity (early through to advanced) for oral and poster presentations. – including early through to advanced researchers and practitioners in the field of creativity.
Please submit your abstract for talks or posters via this link to the online form.
Presentations will either be 15 minutes: 10 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions, or lightning talks of 5 minutes & equivalent of one slide, and posters will be size A0 in portrait orientation. Presentation abstracts should be on the theme of Contemporary Ideas in the Psychology of Creativity, and posters can be on the broader topic of Creativity in general.
Registration
Registration is now open! Registration fees will be £60, and that includes your conference attendance, as well as refreshments and lunch. A bargain for what will be an exciting conference! Please click here to be taken to our registration page!
We always aim to keep our fees low to be as inclusive and accessible as possible for everyone. However, if you are a presenting postgraduate student and would like to inquire about a fee free place – please do email us as we have some limited support for presenting attendees. This will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
