SPECIAL FEATURE

We’re excited to announce that our conference this year will close with a live interview between Johns Hopkins University Prof Jonathan Plucker and renowned comedian Stuart Goldsmith!

Stuart is an internationally award-winning stand-up, writer, podcaster, host, speaker and comedy expert. With a recent stand up appearance on Conan (TBS) under his belt, he is also the series warm-up for The Graham Norton Show and the creator and host of host of The Comedian’s Comedian podcast. Having amassed over 18 million downloads, his podcast interrogates the creative processes of his colleagues, including Stewart Lee, Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Russell Brand and over 400 others. He loves sharing the creativity and resilience secrets of the world’s greatest comics with businesses. He has built a reputation as an exceptional speaker through his ‘Resilience Presentation’ and has presented to professionals in finance, investment, law, software development, PR, the charity sector, broadcasting, health and many more.

Prof Jonathan Plucker will interview Stuart about how professional comedians develop an idea from a spark of inspiration to the page to the stage and beyond, and explore the necessity of risk, the power of crisis and how to achieve creative efficiency. They will also discuss how these creative concepts transfer to other professional and personal settings.
