Events and conference privacy notice.
This privacy notice explains what personal data UK Creativity Researchers (we), a not for profit network affiliated with King’s College London, Edinburgh Napier University, and University of Buckingham, collects from you.
Who are we and who is our representative?
We are UK Creativity Researchers, a network affiliated with King’s College London, Edinburgh Napier University, and University of Buckingham.
King’s College London is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number Z7915194 and its Data Protection Officer can be contacted at info-compliance@kcl.ac.uk
What is our ‘legal basis for processing’?
We will process your personal data for the purpose of conference booking and management on the grounds of our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
We will process Special Category Data (e.g. information relating to your health or disability status) if you have made us aware of it (GDPR Article 9(2)(e)). This information will only be used to enable us to provide appropriate services such as access or emergency egress requirements in connection with a booking you have made.
Data protection legislation allows us to use your personal information in this way because: you have actively given us your permission (or ‘consent’). You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing UKCreativityResearchers@gmail.com.
Do you have to provide your personal information and what are the consequences of not doing so?
You do not need to provide your personal information if you do not wish to, but we will need this information to send you email invites to the conference and relevant conference information.
How long do we keep your information for?
We will keep your information for up to 8 months before the personal data will be destroyed in order to send you the upcoming conference information and share any follow up information with you, such as to thank you for attendance and share the conference booklet and any links to recordings/resources from the conference.
Do we share your information with other organisations?
We may produce a delegate list to share with event attendees (Title, Name, Institution/Organisation, and email address), to allow contact for the purposes of collaboration and networking (for example). We will ask your permission at the point of registration if you are happy for your details to be included in the delegate list. Please contact the ukcreativityresearchers@gmail.com if you have any queries about this.
We will only share your other information with the named* UK Creativity Researchers conference organisers affiliated with King’s College London, Edinburgh Napier University, and University of Buckingham in order to collaboratively organise the conference.
What are your rights and who can you contact if you have a concern?

Will your personal information be used for automated decision-making or profiling?
Your personal information will not be used for automated decision making. Your personal information (location provided consensually) will be used to evaluate where in the world delegates attend from to evaluate our reach as a network.
